Improving Your Air Quality for Life
Why Your Residence’s Indoor Air Quality Matters
There's never been a better time to consider improving the indoor air quality in your home, and ZIM Heating & Cooling has your solution to keep you and your family breathing healthy air all year round.  We can install the latest technology of home air purifier products that not only filters significantly more dust and allergens, but also destroys viruses, bacteria, mold, and other Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) at the microscopic level. Today’s residences are tightly sealed for energy efficiency, but often become worse for air quality. Even the EPA suggests it can be two to five times worse than the air outdoors.
How do You Improve Your Air Quality?
  • Upgrade or Add Air Filters
  • Add an Air Purification System or an Ultraviolet (UV) Germicidal Light

Consider Your Options
Air Filtration
When browsing air filters, it’s essential to consider the MERV rating, or Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. This measures how efficiently it filters air.
One of the most common and most economical filters, flat fiberglass filters, are rated between 1 and 4 on the MERV register. Pleated filters are somewhat better, rated between 8 and 12.
If the system supports, we suggest installing a MERV 13, such as the HC13 Media Air Cleaner, for optimal effect. This filter delivers cleaner air while reducing energy consumption.
High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters are regarded as the best in Air Filtration, since they’re typically in use in hospitals. They’re effective at catching 99.97–99.99% of indoor pollutants, including pollen, pet dander and smoke. Rheem offers the most advanced systems. Check out the latest technologies to improve your air quality.

Rheem Media Air Filters

APCO-X Air Purification Systems

UV-C air purifiers have revolutionized home air purification, and APCO-X provides industry-leading air sanitization using the latest in UV-C technology. These discreet units install directly into your forced air heating system, effectively destroying bacteria, viruses, mold, odors, and other harmful pathogens circulated indoors. In addition, APCO-X units can also clean and protect your evaporator coil, and other vital furnace components that air passes through.
* APCO-X UV systems are not intended to diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any disease. APCO-X systems have not specifically been tested against RNA coronavirus; however, they are proven to effectively destroy viruses within the same RNA subfamily.

REME HALO Air Purification Systems

REME HALO whole-home air purifiers use Ionized Hydro-peroxide particles to actively seek and destroy airborne particles throughout your entire home. Instead of waiting for airborne pathogens to pass through your HVAC equipment, the REME HALO distributes microbe-fighting particles through your duct work to effectively treat odors, pollutants, mold, bacteria, and viruses within all indoor spaces. What makes our REME HALO units the most effective indoor air purification product is that it not only treats your air, but also destroys microbes on surfaces as well!
* PHI-Cell® and REME HALO® technology is not a medical device; however, no medical claims are made. Although not tested specifically on the COVID-19 coronavirus, this product has been tested and proven to destroy RNA coronavirus strains within the same family.
Home Humidifiers

Having balanced humidity in your home will improve your comfort level when it’s cold.

If you aren’t sure of what your home’s humidity level is, we’ll measure it during your indoor air quality audit. While the range varies based upon outdoor temperatures, HVAC professionals usually recommend keeping it between 30–60 percent.
You can reach this optimum range with a whole-home humidifier. This equipment usually accompanies your furnace or air handler to give the right level of humidity across your house.
